　　故事发生在民国初年，一家小酒馆里发生了一起命案，乡绅林子卿的儿子林继尧被发现死在了酒馆老板娘贞娘的床上，而最大的犯罪嫌疑人就是老板曾家驹。负责此案的知事唐崇陶听取了林管家的证词，将曾家驹定罪。然而，曾家驹不服判决，他坚称是林继尧勾引贞娘在先，而当他闯入房中时，林继尧已经死了，而贞娘下落不明。　　林子卿在暗地里花重金买通了唐崇陶，虽然唐崇陶对案件的真相也持有着怀疑的态度，但最终，曾家驹被执行了死刑，贞娘也因此而自杀。事后，一直受到良心谴责的唐崇陶陷入了自责的情绪之中，而曾家驹和贞娘的鬼魂也出现在他的面前。

郑明宝（郑丹瑞 饰）是香港某电台播报猪肉价格的DJ，他的朋友陈七本想托他走私药品，没想到郑明宝把事情搞砸，害得他锒铛入狱。郑明宝无意中得到了一把雨伞，并由此结识了冥间女鬼方茵（陶君薇 饰），为此，郑明宝专门做了一档晚间鬼故事的节目，由方茵现身说法，收听率居高不下，连当红 DJ蕾莎（顾美华 饰）也对他另眼相看，暗送秋波。 　　节目中，方茵讲述了自己的一段被负心汉欺骗、惨遭情敌迫害致死的过程。原来，她本是从南洋来香港接管广昌隆饭店的女继承人，偶然间邂逅了警察马光燊（吴大维 饰），并堕入爱河。但是，马光燊其实是个花花公子，几次三番伤害了方茵纯洁的感情。特别是当他的情妇（青山知可子 饰）登堂入室后，更是把伤心欲绝的方茵逼上了绝路……

一对儿情侣本打算要度过一个浪漫假期，却不料被一股邪恶力量带入深渊.....
